Great for families! love the vibe! great for tourist, right on the beach, great music line up! dance floor outdoor patio. Great for little kids too!

Spring break trip. We came for a late afternoon lunch (3pm), hoping to catch some live music. We chose to park at the place, which cost $20, but they do give you a $20 voucher for the gift shop, so I managed to pick up a nice hat for the amount of the voucher. The place was pretty quiet with little signs of activity for a Tuesday afternoon. At the top of the hour, they have a foam party which the boys really enjoyed. We were seated right away and our server, Caitlyn, was very friendly. We had an outside table with views of the Gulf which were amazing. Kids all ordered drinks and my youngest had the virgin shark bite in a souvenir cup. Little bit of fun! For the food, we started with the fried pickle chips - these were excellent! Thin, good batter, and perfect amount of crunch. For the mains, I ordered the shrimp and grits. It was served Cajun style - so a bit of flavor and spice. Grits were good, not great. Would still give 4.5 stars. My wife ordered the snapper po-boy. Huge piece of fish! Nice battered, not too thick and she said it was good flavor. The boys both ordered the kids burger. Bit dry and neither really liked it. I thought the meat tasted fine, but agree it was dry. The burgers are supposed to be fresh, not frozen. These tasted frozen. My daughter ordered the wings, BBQ, which are also a miss. While nicely cooked, they did taste a bit funny to me as well. It's a fun, touristy spot. We tried to wait until the live music started, but ended up leaving because it didn't start until 6pm. Would be nice if they have band times on the website. Good way to spend a few hours, if food was better, would give 5 stars.

Back to the Hangout while visiting over Spring Break and it was good! It was a little windy out so it made it is a little chilly with the big open doors, but it was okay! The chips and queso were very good. The main courses were yummy. Our waitress was nice, however she was MIA a lot. We had spilled a drink early on and had to go find a rag and had a pile of soaked napkins and rags for a good 10 minutes before she came back. Our favorite thing is their shirts at the shop! We always make sure to get some.

Party place for sure! We paid park right out front. It's a touristy spot but that's fun too. Seated us immediately and we are staring out at the beach outside seating! Great drink choices and menu has seafood and burgers, wings and lots of appetizers. The spinach artichoke dip was deeeeelish! I opted for the wings and hubby went lifeguard burger. All really good! I would definitely come back! I bet a night this place is rockin'!

Reasonably priced food but the experience of standing on the tables, Cupid shuffling, going to a live concert outside, AND a foam party? You can't get any more bang for your buck! The Hangout is a staple of Gulf Shores and is the place to be if you want a memorable dining experience for the whole family on your vacation. The food was good but the experience is what really sets this place apart

The Hangout is top shelf. It has something for everyone. We came in at what appeared as the slow time before the afternoon and evening rush. We had a need for mid afternoon sustenance. The interior is huge, bright and had a DJ spinning a variety of chill tunes. Did I mention beachfront? While we only shared a Mucho Nacho starter app it was ginormous. We plan to go back for the evening live music some other time. Ashley did a great job serving us. I saw a lot of families which enforced the something for everyone. Give them a shot- sure it will be worth your time and calories!

Fun location, fun memories and experiences to be made here. The hangout is a great vacation destination. Shark attack drink was a bit pricey, yet tasty with a small shark souvenir I'll keep forever.

Food was good, nothing too special. Service was adequate, live music was great! Located right on the beach it's a cool vibe but the place is huge! Saw some posters of past festival events and they've had some pretty killer lineups.

Wonderful venue that hosts community events, conferences and open to the public just to have a drink or snack. Located on the beach makes a good place for restrooms, snacks, and drinks. Large bar area with frozen daiquiris dispensers on the wall. Gift shop with various items for souvenirs or just to make your day at the beach better. DJs come in and get folks off their seat even when there for dinner. Parking in the area can be tight but easy access for folks needing assistance. Food is basic bar fare but hits the spot! Nice place for a stop when you are in the area.
